The kitchen is often overlooked as a space that can be decorated with art.
Artwork can add soul and dimension, and there are various ways to work some magic onto the walls of your kitchen and dining room spaces.
Use open shelves as tools for decorating kitchen walls
Especially in a smaller kitchen space, low profile shelves can be decorated with artwork or kitchen supplies. You can pick pieces framed in pale wood or white that picks up on the accent colours you use around the kitchen and dining area.

When you have an open kitchen
You can always keep your kitchen colours minimalistic and hang a large painting on the facing wall. It gives warmth and adds finishing touches to an otherwise blank space.

Displaying art around the wet area
Even small kitchens can be transformed into a beautiful space with a simple addition of prints, paintings, or photographs, though as a side note, you should be careful with selecting pieces and locations to display them. There can be lots of humidity, oils and other things in the air that can ruin delicate items – particularly in smaller, enclosed kitchens. Be mindful of that when choosing frames and placement. Most things should fair well as long as they are behind glass.
