  • Margaret Lor
  • Artist Story
  • Margaret Lor is a Hong Kong based artist who describes her art style as loose and impressionistic. Her style of painting was largely influenced by John Yardley and Edward Seago, along with John Singer Sargaret and Trevor Chamberlain.

Although she paints mostly on weekends and holidays, she enjoys travelling around her own city of Hong Kong in search of new subject matters. She favours painting outdoor scenery, in particular the busy waterways and streets of Hong Kong, as she really likes the energy and channels that into her work.

In 2011, she was elected to become a member of the Birmingham Watercolour Society (BWS), which was founded in 1907. Margaret has exhibited paintings in various places in England and HK.
