Kurt Lluch's graphite on canvas evokes a strangeness in part due to the blurring of the edges between how childhood stories were told and the unresolved issues it created in the mind of the innocent. These questions matured into ideas that are as surprising as anything pulled out of a rabbit's hat. Stories old and childlike find its best expression in graphite, not unlike the ones used in grade school.
