Aasiri is a self taught Sri Lankan born British artist, currently based in Singapore. His works are mostly inspirations of places, of travel and of landscapes that he sees on a regular basis. As someone who has studied architecture, he is completely captivated by the interesting compositions of the man-made structures create along side with the natural landscape.
The techniques of painting is predominantly based on the medium used on each piece. Almost every painting is built up on many layers of colour and texture, this is to bring out the character and the temperament of the space and landscape: following the painting is picked out in little details and silhouettes, The artist find that emotions are the important features that attributes to the landscape. These details complete the painting and makes it special as the lines conveys the story of the landscape.
