Lam Nguyen uses a black background for all of his canvases then sketches in chalk on the black background before painting, giving his paintings more depth. He mentions that Cezanne, Van Gogh, Picasso and Henri Matisse have greatly influenced his art, especially as he was developing his unique style which is a combination of Fauvism and Expressionism.
His art works can be found in private collections in America, England, France, Germany, Belgium, Singapore, Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong.
